Tsukuba city is known for its many academic and research institutes. However, it is not all about science in Tsukuba. The city's symbol, Mt. Tsukuba,  is listed as one of Japan's 100 famous mountains. The elegant mountain that stands in the northeast of the Kanto Plain has been expressed in a noble color, and is called "Purple Mountain'' (紫峰). Tsukuba is also a great place to enjoy hiking and cycling.

The conference will be held in "Kasuga Auditorium" in Kasuga Campus of University of Tsukuba. The Kasuga Campus is located at the south end of the university, near Tsukuba station and Tsukuba Center bus terminal.

Kasuga campus

You can easily reach the Kasuga campus on foot (about 10 minutes walk from the station), but if you want to avoid walking, you may take any bus departing from the bus stop No.6 in Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal and get off at the second stop "Kasuga Area Mae" (Fare: 190 JPY). See the map below to find "Kasuga Auditorium" (春日講堂).
